ESSKA-AOSSM travelling fellowship orthopaedic sports medicine symposium

in Neumünster Abbey, Salle de la Chapelle 

The ESSKA- AOSSM travelling fellowship is an international exchange program for promising young orthopaedic surgeons. It is run in collaboration of the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA with its lux. president Prof. Dr. Romain Seil) with the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine Surgery (AOSSM). Part of their journey will bring them to the headquarters in Luxembourg of ESSKA, where they will take part in a scientific symposium in Neumünster Abbey. 
The presentations will be in English and are destined for medical doctors, scientists, physiotherapists and all interested persons. 
The program will be the following:

  • 16:15 Christophe Meyer, PhD: Research activities from/with the Sport Medicine Research Laboratory (Luxembourg Institute of Health)

  • 16:45 Romain Seil, MD, PhD: Ramp lesions of the medial meniscus in ACL surgery
  • 17:00 Coffee break
  • 17:30 Jonathan F. Dickens, MD: Combat Orthopaedic Surgery: Advances in War-Time Expeditionary Surgery
  • 17:45 Alexander Hoffmann, MD: Safe High Tibial Osteotomy Performance
  • 18:00 Lutul Dashaun Farrow, MD: Patellofemoral pain update: Fat pad impingement
  • 18:15 Matthias Brockmeyer, MD: Anatomic and histologic evidence of the anterolateral ligament
